Khan was returned to the Ark after his new owners moved into rented accommodation, but a year on, he’s found his forever home and will be staying put for life now:
“We’ve had Khan over a year now & he’s come on leaps & bounds! He’s been socialised with other dogs & has many friends now, took some work but we’ve got there! Unfortunately his health is deteriorating but he is 9 years old now, which isn’t bad going for a Rottweiler, he’s on medication & it just means we’ve had to slow down a bit! Couldn’t imagine my life without him now, he’s made a big impact on our lives & we love him dearly, even the 9 cats too!
“Just a few more photos of khan for you. Forgot to mention at a charity dog show we had in Skegness I entered khan into a couple of categories just to try & get others involved & also for a bit of fun, well he came 1st in golden oldie, 1st in best rescue, 1st in most handsome male & came reserve best in show, so proud of him!”
It’s so nice to see a family so delighted and proud of their older adopted dog. Their happiness with him shines through and underlines that older animals can make wonderful pets too.
