Meet Crystal!

 CRYSTAL’S STORY

Crystal is a timid, sweet natured girl who has been with since 2020 when she came in with another cat, Gloria and their kittens. Glorisa has since been rehomed. She’s a curious lady who likes to explore and hunt; a lot of her bird watching is done from the top of the dog kennels where she practices her stalking skills. She’s best friends with George, who she is quite bossy with, often grooming him whether he likes it or not, but it’s very sweet seeing them cuddle up and fuss around each other. She gets on with all the resident cats and knows her place around the more dominant characters.

Crystal isn’t keen with contact from us which is why she was released on site rather than put up for adoption and it would be unfair to expect her to live in a home when freedom and company of cats rather than humans is her preference.

As time passes and she builds connections with staff, Crystal accepts some affection in her own little way, like weaving round legs as she greets us or a little boop on your nose as you put a food bowl down. She will also pat you as you’re serving meals, letting you know she’s hungry and you need to serve quicker! She also has a cute little meow which she only uses occasionally when she’s feeling extra sociable.

Crystal loves her home here at the Ark amongst her cat friends living life her way. We will continue to build her trust and we hope one day we’ll get a few strokes in to show her humans are good for more than feeding!
