Cats for adoption
As we must know at all times who is on site and where they are for Health & Safety reason, all visits to see animals must be pre-arranged to meet specific animals seen on the website. Appointments are daily between 12-2.30pm and can be made by ringing the Ark office on 01507358140 or by emailing via our Contact Us page.
Please take a little time to look at the gallery below showing the cats we have available for adoption. If you see one you like click its picture to find out more about it. Perhaps there is one here you could love and provide a home for. If you would like to meet a cat with a view to offering it a home, then please contact us to make an appointment and we’ll be happy to introduce you. Make sure you have read and understood our Adoption Agreement so that you understand on what terms we can offer you an animal.
It should be noted that it is Ark policy NOT to rehome a cat to a home on a busy road unless it’s for a house cat. We don’t rehome cats to be house cats unless they’ve already been house cats, either by their own choice or previous circumstances, nor do we rehome kittens to be house cats as we believe all cats should have access to outdoors and to choose to go out if they wish.
Please note: . All meetings with cats by prospective adopters are strictly by appointment, as are all collections, once satisfactory checks have been done. Appointments are daily, including weekends 12-2.30pm. Effective from 1st January 2026 the adoption donation for a cat will be £70 and £95 for a pair.
Each cat and dog adopted from The Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home comes with 5 Weeks Free pet insurance – whatever their age!
