Fundraising Events

Supporters put on all sorts of different events and perform all sorts of different feats to raise money to keep the Ark going and we need every one of those people and their magnificent efforts and are more  grateful to every single one than we can express. Below are both forthcoming events and fundraising events achieved on our behalf. If these wonderful people inspire others to do the same, then we couldn’t be more pleased.

Ozzy Appeal

OZZY

Meet Ozzy 💙
This little guy is only around 5–6 weeks old and was found alone in a cow trough on a farm. Our vets, Eastfield Vets, contacted us to see if we could take him in — but he urgently needed his front right leg amputated.
Of course, we said yes.
Ozzy’s surgery was a success, and he’s now safe, warm, and recovering in my living room with plenty of love and care. He’s already showing what a strong little fighter he is 🐾
We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Eastfield Vets for everything they’ve done for him.
The surgery cost £1300, and with an already large vet bill this month, we’re asking if anyone might be able to help contribute towards Ozzy’s care. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference.

Ark Auctions and Online Sales

The final amount made on on our online auctions and sales was a magnificent £5,439.50p More than £22,000 has been raised since the start of our auctions in 2018 and every penny goes into helping our animals, such as paying vet bills etc.

Thanks go to Sara for setting up the sales, and also to the staff who look out suitable items to sell amongst incoming donations and help with the distrubution of winning items. But enormous thanks also go to our supporters who bid on or buy the items posted on our FB page and raise these wonderful funds for the Ark.

Look out for the auctions and our selling page in 2025. The auctions run Monday to Sunday every last week of the month, ending at 8pm on the Sunday. People should only bid if they’re able to collect from the Ark by the following weekend, otherwise storage becomes a problem. Unclaimed items will be put back into the auction.

Pet Portraits

Talented local artist Bev from Saltfleetby has offered to give £5 to the Ark for every portrait ordered in the run-up to Christmas. She paints pets and wildlife. Only £20-25 per portrait of wildlife and £30-50 for pet portraits, depending on the amount of detail and the number of pets in each portrait.  What a lovely way to immortalise your pe or give as a present to somebody and support the Ark at the same time.  See below some examples of Bev’s work.

Bev made £105 which she brought to the Ark between Christmas and New Year. That makes 21 portraits ordered so it looks like she was kept busy! Thank you so much Bev for donatig some of your profits for the animals. We’re very grateful for your support.

The Toadstool Louth is raising funds for the Ark

The customers of The Toadstool Takeway at 54 Queen Street, Louth have voted The Ark to be the recipient of their fundraising. From Sept to Dec they will advertise 3 items from their menu, stating that 10% of the price will be given to The Ark.  The total money will be sent to us at the start of January. 

So if you’re already a customer or would like to try their menu, or are just a supporter of the Ark and live locally, please keep an eye on their special menus till the end of the year.
