Hello! We’re Balor & Bayley!

We are brother and sister, are 8 years old  as we were born in February 2018. We are the unusual cross of Alaskan Malamute and Pomeranean and are large dogs. Balor (male) is tri-coloured with white front legs and a darker face and Bayley(female) is black and tan. We’re both fit and well and are neutered and vaccinated, were vet checked and wormed and flea treated on 22/05/26 prior to admission. We eat Step up to Naturals grain-free food from Pets at Home and will eat anything as long as there’s no wheat in it. We’re looking for a new home because there was a breakdown in the pack dynamic with the other dog in our home and our owner was struggling to care for us as she has worsening health.

Balor is very playful and cuddly, while Bayley is more of a couch potato. We both love attention and to be made a fuss of. Bayley is more assertive whilst Balor is more likely to follow her lead. We’re close and don’t like to be separated. We’ve lived with our owner’s grandson since he was 6 years old and are good with children of all ages. We can be apprehensive of other dogs at first but can mix with them though not in a living situation due to issues with the French Bulldog we used to live with. We all used to get along fine but things have changed over the last 2 years. Bayley particularly is scared of fireworks and loud noises when on walks; Balor doesn’t like the noise of plastic bags. We both can’t stand cats!!

Additional Information

Neither of us has shown any aggression to people, nor do we have any food aggression, although we did towards each other when young but have now grown out of it as we’re fed apart. We’re wary at the vets but responsive and enjoy fuss made of us. We’ve never been to the groomers but enjoy being brushed, which is a good thing as we moult a lot! We’ve never been in kennels before but have settled well. We are house-trained and have been left 4hrs max. We slept under the stairs on a pile of blankets in our old home. It can vary but we generally don’t like car travel. We both pull on the lead at first but settle within a minute, haven’t been off the lead and our recall can be selective. We’ll both play fetch with someone but Bayley will also play  on her own. We’ve been together since birth and are extremely close and will pine if separated so must be rehomed together.
