Hi! I’m Bounty!

I am a miniature horse and 21 years old

I am a quiet girl but with lots of love to give. I find it hard to trust new people, and can be quite shy. I am partially sighted, which helps to explain why I get worried easily. I’m not always sure on my surroundings because I can’t see them.

I am more confident with my family at The Ark, and actually quite cheeky at times. I like to see what snacks are on offer at my humans break time. Recently, I seem to have crept out of my shell more and I hope I can keep this confidence up.

My health is doing well at the moment, but when I came in I suffered from laminitis. It turns out, I have EMS. which is similar to diabetes, so my sugar intake must be controlled. This means I can’t eat much grass, if any, when it is super rich. I also have to wear a special mask on bright sunny days as I have uveitis. Aside from this, I can eat as much hay as I want to whenever I want to. My humans make sure I have access 24hrs a day.

I don’t have many friends, and sometimes get picked on by the other horses. Because I am shy, I don’t always stand up for myself. I do have my friends Tango and Pie, but I’m not always too bothered about being with them. My humans help me by bringing me into my stable for the night so I have my own space.

P.s. although I am shy I can always be won over by treats!

Love from Bounty.
