Dexter & Oliver

Dexter & Oliver were much loved pets but, unfortunately, their owner had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of rheumatoid arthritis and was struggling to meet their needs as well as those of her children so had to give them up for adoption. Dexter is the confident one, while Oliver is timid and spent most of his time hiding in his bed, only coming out occasionally. But these lovely boys soon attracted attention and are now settling in with their new family. They’ve sent us a progress report and it’s looking good:

“We adopted Dexter and Oliver just over two weeks ago and wanted to give you guys an update on how are they doing.
I will attach some videos of them from today.
“We actually have so much progress with Ollie today that I’m in awe. He’s been out of his hiding place up and about all night while we slept and all morning with Dex playing and walking around. Just got them some new toys birds and I think they like them.
“Dexter has been out and about since about day 2 but now he is coming when called and he likes to cuddle with me on the sofa to watch a movie sometimes.
They are both amazing, no issues with them using the litter box, just one incident of Dexter using my flower pot as toilet once but we got that one out of the way 😂
They both eat well (Dexter a little more than Oliver), they have their safe place in case they need it but lately even Ollie is coming out of his hiding place more and more so I think everything is going as good as it can.
We are so excited to have them with us. Thank you so much for trusting them to us.”

It’s so good to see them well on their way to being happy and settled and particularly good to see Ollie coming out of his shell.
