Hello! I’m Dolly!

I’m a short-haired black and white female of approx 1 year. I was a stray and was brought to the Ark in advanced pregnancy. II’m fit and well, up to date with flea and worm treatments, am booked to be spayed and microchipped on 28/07/26, but am not vaccinated. I got to the Ark just in time as only 3 days later I had 4 beautiful kittens. I love my food and am currently eating Felix Original or Whiskas in jelly. Other types of Felix upset my tummy, but I do enjoy a few biscuits on my meat once a day. I’m having 4 meals a day at the moment to help build me up after feeding my kittens but this will lessen over time and potential adopters will be updated re my feeding regime. I also enjoy a variety of treats such as Lick-e-Lix.

It’s thought that I’ve had a home at some point because I’m very loving and friendly and have been since first arriving at the Ark. I proudly shared my babies with staff and can only be described as a very sweet young lady. I’m vocal and at times quite insistent I get attention and lots of strokes, patting staff members’ heads or faces and tapping their legs to gain attention. I’ve no known history with children or dogs. I’ll definitely build bonds quickly and, although it’s unknown how I am with children, staff feel older, cat-savvy youngsters would be better for me than toddlers or young children that might overwhelm me. I don’t like other cats.

Additional Information

I’ve not shown any aggression and am using my litter tray well. Despite being a young mum, I managed the births well and have been a fantastic mummy. Now my little ones have grown and found their own forever homes, I’m looking for my new home. I’m full of energy and have been a very busy mum so need to learn how to relax, play and be myself. A household where the work life balance is equal with quiet time to help me switch off would be purrfect. I could easily adapt to a good routine and once settled likely to enjoy my own space. I’m definitely not keen on other cats; likely I see them as competition for food after being a stray and then being a protective mummy. The Ark would consider a home with a dog providing they were used to living with cats and a safe area for introductions can be provided at a pace to suit me. I’ll be ready to go once i’ve recovered from my operation.
