Hi! My name is Jet!

I am 23 years old and a Mérens, a French breed, at around 15hh.

I am a real gentle soul, and everybody loves me. People tell me I make them feel warm and fuzzy inside. I guess it is one of my many talents! My girlfriend, Amy, also agrees that I am a charmer. I think it is all in the eyes. After all, they are big and beautiful. 

I love a scratch once I’ve got to know you, but I am a little bit shy with new people. It just takes me some time to come out of my shell. My friend, and mini me, Fudge, is my best scratching partner. All of my friends seem to love me, and let me be king of the Jungle. I am definitely the boss man at the moment! I hope I can keep my title. 

Unfortunately, I have had laminitis in the past and I suffer from arthritis in my feet, which makes me lame on and off.  However, my family at The Ark help me to manage my health, and keep a track of my quality of life, which has not declined yet since I moved in.

I moved into my new home at The Ark due to my owners ill health.  She was such a good mum to me and Tango and I miss her very much. Due to my mum’s requests, me and Tango will live out our retirement at The Ark and will not be for rehoming.
