Hello! I’m Martin!

I am around 15.3hh and 21 years old.

I am such a cuddly boy, and have a really kind soul about me. I am easy to do in all ways and just fit in with everyone really well. All of my humans love me to bits already. You could say I am a charmer. I can be a bit dominant around my hay with the other horses, but typically only chase them away. I would never want to hurt anyone.

I arrived at my new home with my friend Eamonn, and we have settled in brilliantly. I was a racehorse in my youth, and in my last home spent a lot of time in my stable. It is so nice to experience more time outside now. I was quite skinny when when I first came to The Ark, but have since put on a good amount of weight. I’ve still got a little bit to go but I am definitely feeling much more alive.

When I first arrived I suffered with tie up, which was very painful. This meant that my muscles were continuously cramping. I have since received treatment and am feeling much better. Other than that, my health is great.

I am staying at The Ark for the winter, so my humans can keep me warm and monitor my health. But I am definitely looking forward to the spring, so I can experience living out with my friends, for the first time in years.
