Meet Matrix!

MATRIX’S STORY

Matrix first came into the Ark with his brother Mischa back in 2016. They’d always been house cats, so were rehomed as such again but didn’t settle and started soining in the house and being destructive. Their new owner was convinced they needed access to outdoors but lived on a busy road so they were returned in 2017. Once again they were rehomed but Matrix came back again in 2019 as he was scared of the two Yorkshire terriers in the home and the stress had caused himto start soiling again.

It was clear that he needed some outside time and no longer wanted to be a house cat, so he went solo without his brother and has been living happily at the Ark since 2019. He now lives in the cat chalet in the cat garden coming and going as he pleases during the daytime but always home for tea and his bed each night. He’s a relaxed chap and at 13 years now, likes to spend his days pottering around the site or snoozing on the sofa in the chalet. He loves nothing better than a cardboard box and if he fits he sits!

It’s likely that Matrix will spend the rest of his days at the Ark now. He’s very mucg his home and probably all he remembers. He seems happy with his life with us and we’re happy to look after him for as long as he needs us.
