Peanut (now Pikachu) was brought to the Ark by her owner’s friend to prevent her from being released into the wild. She was said to be very aggressive but we didn’t find that to be so. We’ve recently heard from her new family with an update:

“We adopted Pikachu in July 2025. We wanted to bond her to our pair, Poppy & Daisy, but it has not been successful. Now they live side by side inside the house with a safe barrier between them. We will try another bonding process in the future.

“Initially we were thinking to return her to the Ark if she failed to bond, but Pikachu is such a sweetheart and she has been a sweet happy bunny who loves being part of our family. So there’s no way we’ll let her down.

“We got her spayed not long after we adopted her. She has been healthy, gives us kisses and loves snuggles with us on the sofa or on the floor. Pikachu is a lively and affectionate individual. She loves apples and strawberries. She gets a garden time almost everyday and shows off her binkies and zoomies.
Pikachu is our good baby girl and we love her so much.”

Even though the bonding plan hasn’t worked out yet, it’s great to hear that Pikachu’s new owners have created such a happy home for her.
